Do You Know...?

The Spirit of God is so awesome. He speaks to us constantly. Either through the Word (bible), through our hearts or through others. Listen and hear what the Spirit says to us.

From time to time I will be adding to this section of Spiritual Enrichment things the Lord has laid on my heart. Some awesome revelations. These may be things I've known all along and they may be a light bulb that God has just showed me. I hope you enjoy them just as much as I do.

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105

Q. why we are persecuted?           A. For the Word's sake

The bible speaks of affliction and persecution coming for the word's sake. Mark 4:17.

So, let's break that down.

affliction - a pressing, pressing together, pressure, oppression, affliction, tribulation, distress

persecution - in any way whatever to harass, trouble, molest one: a.) to persecute; b.) to be mistreated, suffer persecution on account of something

word - John 1:1 says In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. John denotes the essential Word of God, Jesus Christ, the personal wisdom and power in union with God. We know that Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh. So, the Word would have to be Him.

Now that we having the meaning of the words, why are we oppressed? Why do we suffer? We go through these things for Christ's sake? How? As we go through these things and overcome them, we glorify God through Christ. Christ came and took those things we suffer on Himself. The bible says to cast your burdens upon the Lord. Psalms 55:22. (also read Matthew 6:25-34). So, why are we holding on to them?

As people see us go through trials and tribulations and come out smelling like a rose, we show the works of Jesus manifested. We lift Him up and we glorify Him when we talk about how God brought us through it all.

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." John 12:32 So, although we suffer for Christ's sake, we do not continue to stay in that suffering. We do not sit back and say, "That's ok. I'm suffering for God." Otherwise God is not glorified and we are defeated.

Speak the Word over your situation. Look in the bible and find what it says about you and who you are. Speak those things out loud so the devil can know that you know who you are and whose you are. You will lift Christ up, you will be lifted up and you will come out of that affliction with flying colors. And don't give up. If it doesn't work the first time, or the second time, or the third. Keep on saying what God says until it does. "Endure hardness as a good soldier of Christ." 2 Timothy 2:3

Q. What is the heart?

A.  I bet you thought it was that organ in the animal body which is the centre of the circulation of the blood, and hence was regarded as the seat of physical life. The vigour and sense of physical life.

I did too. Check this out. The heart also:

* denotes the centre of all physical and spiritual life

* is the centre and seat of spiritual life

-is the soul or mind, as it is the fountain and seat of the thoughts, passions, desires, appetites, affections, purposes, endeavours

-is of the understanding, the faculty and seat of the intelligence

-is of the will and character

-is of the soul so far as it is affected and stirred in a bad way or good, or of the soul as the seat of the sensibilities, affections, emotions, desires, appetites, passions

* is of the middle or central or inmost part of anything, even though inanimate

Our heart is us and we are our hearts.

About Death.  I'm learning such new things as I work and dig deeper into the scriptures.  The Greek and Hebrew dictionaries open a whole world of meanings.  The bible when translated into English lose some of its interpretation.  Death has a whole new meaning.  Not only do we die physically, we die spiritually. We can also be alive and dead at the same time.  The Greek explanation - 1) the misery of the soul arising from sin, which begins on earth but lasts and increases after the death of the body in hell;  2) in the widest sense, death comprising all the miseries arising from sin, as well physical death as the loss of a life consecrated to God and blessed in him on earth, to be followed by wretchedness in hell. http://tinyurl.com/8gaxu or <Click here>

God always gives us a way of escape.  A way out. He gives us the choices and even recommends which is the best.

"I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness." Romans 6:19

"And that means killing off everything connected with that way of death: sexual promiscuity, impurity, lust, doing whatever you feel like whenever you feel like it, and grabbing whatever attracts your fancy. That's a life shaped by things and feelings instead of by God." Colossians 3:5 (The Message bible)

Deuteronomy 30:19(Amplified version): "I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live."
